Short birth announcement

Friday, Apr. 9th, 8:03am -- I gave birth to Annicka Ceceil. Beautiful
baby girl, 6 lbs, 11oz. Both her parents were present at the
delivery. It was a wonderful experience for everyone.

I'll try to do more of a birth story later, but it was a C-section.
Pretty good C-section, I think, and I liked not being exhausted and
blindfolded this time around; however they stapled as well as stitched
this time around, and the staples make the incision a bit more
painful.

I'm back home and recovering well, and my two-year old DS didn't take
too long to forgive me for being away for 2.5 days. He and his Daddy
did surprisingly well together.

But more later, anyway.

and also Cecilia, both as first names.

Wonderful! Congratulations to you and to the new parents! I think it is
so wonderful that you did this for them. Did they know she was a baby
girl in advance, or was it a surprise? I love her name.

I hope your recovery time is quick.
