April roll call
This group seems somewhat moribund, but then I can't say I've been an
active participant either. A few years ago when I was here pregnant with the Bug it was pretty hopping. Let's see if this gets anything going. Any other April due date moms out there? Of the three months dreary, three months cheery, three months weary we're in the cheery part now -- how are you doing? I'm finally feeling the baby move, for which I had been getting quite impatient. It's a lot of fun. Transitioning to my maternity clothes, which are back to me after going through 4 other pregnancies in the meantime. I'm looking forward to the mid- trimester ultrasound in a couple of weeks -- we're hoping to find out if it's a boy or a girl. The Bug is eagerly rooting for a baby sister. At 4 years old she's long past ready for a baby sibling, but life circumstances weren't very amenable to having a second until recently. Hope there are others who reply! Kate, ignorant foot soldier of the medical cartel and the Bug, 4 years old and something brewing, 4/08 |

Kate, ignorant foot soldier of the medical cartel and the Bug, 4 years old and something brewing, 4/08 I'm more of a lurker, just occasionally post a question. I've been reading this group since 2002. Anyway, I'm pregnant with my second, and due on April 7. My son recently turned 4, so our situations are similar. My ultrasound is set for this coming Wednesday, and I can't wait to find out if it's a girl or boy! I'm so excited. I will be thrilled either way, I just feel in the mood to sort through my son's old clothing and get stuff organized. I'm feeling quite a bit of movement these days. It slowly ramped up after feeling the first kick about 2 weeks ago. It's quite a relief to feel that movement. I'm having a high risk pregnancy again, due to clotting issues. So far nothing out of the ordinary, so that's good. Looking forward to hearing from other april moms! -Lora |

April roll call
Can i join? My due date is actually 31st March (we are hoping to
avoid 1st April ;-) ) but I'm nearly April. My DS is 3 and we have had 2 miscarriages in between so it has been very reassuring to feel lots of movement of late. I have got my scan in a weeks time and I looking forward to checking everything appears ok (not rational or logical but am worried they will say the baby is dead or something is seriously wrong as I was in a car accident in early pregnancy - despite knowing that this is extremely unlikely, I cannot shake the worry!) Although I am pleased to be out of the dreary phase, I am wearier than I expected - Looking after a 3 year old makes it harder I guess Clare |

I was also due March 31, but had a scan last week and was told baby is
measuring small so my date was adjusted to April 10. So really I have no idea when I'm due as my gp was pretty sure of the dates when I first went and saw her. So I figure any time from 20th of March (assuming March 31 was correct and it comes early) through to 20th of April - that will be a long month!! Actually that was the second time that the due date was "adjusted". When I went to the hospital to book in they said they were all booked out for March, but if possibly I had my dates a day out then that would make me due on the 1st of April so they could then fit me in!! I think they have a quota per month of bookings they can take - once you're booked in it doesn't matter when baby comes, but it's so they don't overload. We didn't find out at the scan whether it's a boy or girl (although we debated it right up till the last minute!). And we have a little girl who will be 2 in January. |

Kate, ignorant foot soldier of the medical cartel and the Bug, 4 years old and something brewing, 4/08 I'm due on April 14 (which is my older dd's birthday!) This has been a really rough pregnancy so far, with non-stop nausea for the first three months and hormonally-charged depression now, which is supposed to be my "fun" trimester. I feel worn out all the time but have trouble falling asleep. I guess it's nature's way of telling me that four kids is a good number to stop at. DS and DD1 are both very excited about their upcoming sibling and have suggested names: DS would like me to name it "Arnold Jr." (something from The Magic School Bus, apparently) and DD1 is rooting for "Cinderella." I'm going for my ultrasound next week so I guess we'll see which name will win out. Bryna #4 edd 4/14/08 |
