NZ: DRAMATIC 70s RETURN TO BREASTFEEDING

University of Otago's Dr. KATH M. RYAN (with VM Grace) wrote of a dramatic
return to breastfeeding in New Zealand:

"[Around the 1970s]...New Zealand women (re)claimed the power to author
their own [infant feeding knowledge for a short time]...This coincided with
a dramatic return to breastfeeding on a national scale..."

OPEN LETTER (archived for global access; see below)

Dr. Kath M. Ryan
School of Pharmacy
University of Otago
P.O. Box 913,
Dunedin, New Zealand.

Kath,

Two important breastfeeding facts:

1. Breastfeeding women scan for pathogens and manufacture IMMUNIZATIONS
which they "inject" with their breasts daily - i.e. - breastfeeding means
mother-administered free daily immunizations for babies.

2. Breastfeeding reportedly makes MD-needle-vaccinations work better.

Very few women - explicitly informed that they can IMMUNIZE their babies
daily (and reportedly make MD-needle-vaccinations work better) - are going
to fail to at least attempt to breastfeed.

Many countries are ignoring a way to make the immunization rate skyrocket
via breastfeeding.

Thanks for reading,

Sincerely,

Todd

Dr. Gastaldo

PS1 Regarding MD-needle-vaccinations working better with breastfeeding -
and MDs failing to tell pregnant women that they are IMMUNIZERS - it can be
said that MDs are lying by omission thereby denying massive numbers of
babies massive numbers of free daily immunizations.

It can also be said that MDs are fraudulently promoting their
needle-vaccinations as being 100% effective "immunizations." Here in the
US, MDs have legislators writing "immunization" laws - which don't mention
the most important source of immunizations - breastfeeding moms (!) - and
which say that vaccine exempt children will be sent home/protected during
disease outbreaks. This is state-sponsored MD vaccine promotion fraud
because many children are not immunized by their vaccinations.
"Immunization" laws should mention breastfeeding is immunization - and they
should assure parents that ALL children - including vaccinated children -
will be protected (sent home) during disease outbreaks.

Every state/country could help make the immunization rate skyrocket - just
by passing immunization laws which mention that breastfeeding moms are the
most important source of immunizations. States/countries could also mention
that ALL children - including vaccinated children - will be sent
home/protected during disease outbreaks.

PS2 I couldn't tell from your PubMed abstract whether the dramatic return
to breastfeeding was only temporary...

Here's the full PubMed abstract:

"For most of the twentieth century infant feeding knowledge has been
constructed by medical scientists and health professionals. However, for a
short time around the 1970s, New Zealand women (re)claimed the power to
author their own knowledge based upon experience. This coincided with a
dramatic return to breastfeeding on a national scale. Using New Zealand
women's narratives of their infant feeding experiences over the past 50
years, this article brings to the foreground the importance of women's
subjective construction of knowledge, their positioning within it, and the
suppression of rudimentary discourses when that power is removed or
relinquished in the process of remedicalization.

I would LOVE to hear that New Zealand women all know that breastfeeding
women scan for pathogens and manufacture immunizations - and that this info
may have contributed to "the dramatic return to breastfeeding on a national
scale."

If New Zealand women DON'T all know this - maybe a[nother?] return to
breastfeeding on a national scale" can occur...

PS3 One last note: If New Zealand women don't know that standard medical
delivery positions close the birth canal up to 30% and that MDs KEEP birth
canals closed (keep women semisitting or dorsal) when they pull with hands,
forceps, and vacuum extractors...

Well, someone should tell NZ women how easy it is for them to allow their
birth canals to OPEN the "extra" up to 30%...
