I know that. And that is why I did not file those papers for a year. But I
discussed it with the former head of Family Support Services and His Grace
advised I do it for my daughter's sake.

They can do nothing for your daughter, what are you expecting them to do?

Thats the dumbest damn **** I ever heard of in my life. You just gave the
courts control over you, your daughters, and your ex's life.

I haven't filed it yet.

You are not legally required to file for child support through the courts.
You and your ex *can* sit down and come to an agreement together. Why put
control of such an important issue in the hands of total strangers who feel
that their formulae are more important than the parents of the child?

Hi, I am new here. I have had child support papers for a year and never
filed them. I am a Christian and I feel like an atheist doing this. I
should say I am a Christian convert, which makes it hard. I divorced my
husband. Slogging through these papers is hell on earth. We have a 6 year
old and I have full custody of her but he can visit her whenever he likes,
we live in the same county. We live in Marin County, CA. The Child Support
people here are friendly and helpful.

You are right. However I know the former head of Family Support Services
for my state and His Grace advised I do it for my daughter's sake. I
think I will listen to His Grace's advice.- Hide quoted text -

If by "His Grace" you mean God, I don't think God gives advice in
regards to Child Support LOL

As for "former head of Family Support Services", quite possibly there
is a reason for being a "former", perhaps giving out bad advice.

I mean His Grace Bishop NIKOLAI Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Diocese
of Alaska, OCA, the reason His Grace left His Grace's secular job was to
go to Alaska. The governor held a day in His Grace's honor (prior to His
Grace being consecrated a bishop) because of the work His Grace did.
His Grace held a secular job so His Grace could financially support His
Grace's parishes. His Grace was the chancellor of the Diocese of the
West at the time. His Grace was also tonsured a monk at age 21. His
Grace is also Serbian American. I hoped that cleared up all misconceptions.
