cooking for a pregnant friend
I'm cooking dinner for a 7 months pregnant friend this weekend. Has
anyone got any good menu suggestions, particularly for desserts as I know she won't be able to have cheesecake (soft cheese) or egg based puddings Many thanks Alee |

And the cream cheese is pastuerized? Acidic meals are hard at that point because of heartburn; for example, anything with marinara. -- Dagny EDD 10/6/03 |

Egg based puddings are fine too, when the pudding is cooked. However, beaten egg-white is not good, it is usually too raw. Also be careful with raw or partially raw meats and fish, but besides that, you can cook whatever you normally do. -- -- I mommy to DS (14m) guardian of DH EDD 05-17-2004 War doesn't decide who's right - only who's left |

Girl, bring it on. The cheeses used in cheesecake are pasturized therefore, NOT a no-no! As for what foods to cook, you should really check with her. Some people have major aversions/heartburn causing foods, others don't. It's pretty much an individual thing. -- JennP. mom to Matthew 10/11/00 remove "no........spam" to reply |
