Moon Shyne wrote: And little boys don't tell us they want to be circumsized, either - but an awful lot of people have it done to their newborn sons. This is very true , I don't agree with that either. These is personal choices that I think parents make and I personally would'nt make those types of choices myself. You see little 1 and 2 year olds sporting mohawks and that irks my craw as well this is not the childs choice . Parents will of course eventually have to have the childs hair cut, the extremes are not what the child is wanting but again what the parent wants. Just my opinion I still live my life "to each thier own" Bev Yep, me too. Even parents who might raise their children differently from how you might? Still "to each, their own"? Yes Moon, to each his own, which is why I am not arguing endlessly. |

I draw the line at having my child sleep over at a nudist family home. I never know quite how many towels to pack for an overnight. :-) And you have that right - "to each, their own" includes you, too :-) |

I spent much of yesterday and today doing back to school stuff - school supplies are done, my daughter had her orientation today for her new school, laptop and printer are all set up and running, we did some basic school clothes today at one of the outlet centers - and in 1/2 hour, I have to pick up my son from skating. It's sort of nice to just relax, read a good book, and not feel like I 'have' to be going out - besides, I did that last weekend with a handful of friends who teach at the Y, so this is my weekend to catch up on home stuff :-) And you're home on a Saturday night, taking some much needed time for yourself, and relaxing........ Right? |

My opinion does not say anyone else is wrong for what their own choices are. I would not pierce my infant daughters ears,or give my infant or toddler age child a mohawk haircut etc. nor would I tell you that you were wrong to do so. |

As a child my parents belonged to a nudist colony and we loved going to the place! We got to swim nekkid in a very large built in heated pool ! It is also where I got a dislike of the appearance of the genitals of elderly men , I still shiver at the thought ewwwwwwww! ;-) |

Ahhh I see I see! I wasn't quite understanding the point there for a while, I know I did not mean to say that as a judgement when I agreed with Tiff that, "They shouldn't have been pierced in the first place" I was certainly refering to "my own" granddaughter, and my own opinion of it. I am glad we did establish though that she has the right to say no to having them pierced now that she is 2 1/2 and can say so! I was not thrilled my question began to become an argument with anyone. This was not my intention. Bev |

Some ppl choice to abuse their kids, I would say that shouldn't happen. Does that freak you out? Some ppl choice to feed their kids crap food until they are obese, and I say they shouldn't do that.... is that wrong? I expressed my opinion to BEV concerning HER issue. Do you have nothing better to do then argue with me because you don't like my wording or my opinion? Geez... you told me how you felt, I said I am not stooping down to a level where I would argue. I said to each his own. You really do have a hard time letting do, don't you? |
