Default Help! Morning Sickness!

Hi, my name is Saskia Negron and I have been pregnant for about 9
weeks. I have been vomiting twice a day for the past 4 weeks now. Is
there any way to stop this? I do not know what to do and all my
doctor says is that it is normal! I do not know what to do and I do
not think I can take this anymore. Is there any way to fix this? Is
there some kind of miracle pill? I have been prescribed Reglan but it
does not seem to do anything. I also have major gas inside my stomach
or something because I burp a lot when I puke.

I have tried crackers and all kinds of things but nothing works!
HELP!

Phenergan is one thing I have heard prescribed that seems to have good results,
although I believe it causes sleepiness. Ginger tea can help. You might want
to visit your local health food store and see what they recommend. Also, I
think there is a bracelet you can buy that puts pressure on the acupressure
point that controls nausea.

All this is hearsay for me because I only suffer from very mild
dizziness/nausea for about 10 days with my pregnancies. I'm sorry you are
having such a hard time!

Phenergan can help, but is also effective as a sleeping pill. I haven't
needed it in this pregnancy, but did in the last one. Really sour candy (I
like the tangerine altoids) seems to help, too. I'm having a lot of gas
problems as well, unfortunately, even though the morning sickness isn't
nearly as bad with this baby as it was the last one.

Also, my midwife recommended taking B6 for nausea, which seems to have
helped, but you might want to check with your OB-I don't know if that's one
you can overdose on or not.

You have my sympathy! With my last pregnancy, I threw up multiple times
daily until I reached about 20 weeks. I even ended losing nearly 30 pounds
because of it. If you are losing more than a couple pounds a week, then it
is definitely not normal. I took Phenergan, and although it made me sleep
all day, it did help.

My sister is pg and she is sick also. She is 12 weeks along. They gave
her zofran and it's a pill and it took away her nausea right away and
they perscribed her some but they are expensive!! Check with your
insurance company on the price. They give it to chemo patients for
nausea. They also gave her the phenergan suppository and that helps but
not as good. She still gets sick once or twice a day but it has helped.
She will feel alot better once she gets the Zofran which she is gonna
get on her state medical card. You should ask your doctor about it.
Email me directly if you need more info. Christi :-)
