Oh yeah that's right... July 7th is your Birthday! Well have a great

time
and tell us all about it when you get back.

Christine

We just got back. I'm still going through 60something emails (all but 2
were spam) and over 190 messages here... and I have yet to check the

forsale
ng, which usually has at least 50+ new posts a day. I haven't even looked
at all the stuff to unpack and sort through.

Long story short, it wasn't so bad. Wes called to tell me the land lords
broke into my suite the day we left and destroyed my bedroom and storage
room - among other things - and when I got that phone call from Wes, it

sort
of wrecked the rest of my week out there... I didn't sleep at all that
night, but other than that, we had a great time exploring, swimming,
fishing, riding horses and so much more. It was a real good time,

actually.

OHMYGOSH! Your LANDLords destroyed your bedroom?? What??? I'm so sorry you
had to come home to that!!

Well, it just really, really bugs me. They came in the day they saw me
packing up the truck - the cab and box both full of people and luggage and
the tent trailer hooked up to the truck. They knew damn well that we were
obviously leaving, but they ended up breaking down my door to do
"maintenance" the afternoon that we left, and not only did Wes call me to
tell me they came into my apartment suite, but that they also changed the
locks. Wes went in to find the place a bit more destroyed than I left it
(Yes, it wasn't a far cry from a war zone due to me packing in a hurry and
not being very good at it) I closed off all the doors to the washroom and
both bedrooms to keep the cat out, and the cat was closed in the baby's room
for at least 2 days, and I found it left a nice little surprise on the
pillows beside Bran's bed - but I can't blame the cat, really, it didn't
lock itself in any rooms... There was garbage thrown in my storage room from
when someone replaced the toilet, and the one thing that really got to me
was them going around in my room. They moved all my shelves and tables,
walked on my bed with shoes and left ALL the curtains in the entire place
wide open for anyone walking down the street to see that the place was empty
the whole time.
I'm quite ****ed off at everything. I think I just want to go to bed now
and deal with everything on Monday morning when places such as the
Landlord/Tenants Act place is open. Right now, I'm downright ****ed off.

I'd call the police as well. I know, at least here in the US, tenants
rights outway landlord rights. What happened would be considered
tresspassing, or at the very least, vandalism.

Yeah Kat, and besides, it would add ammunition to your claim to get out of
there. Call 423-4567 and talk to an officer, see if they can help you.

Typically, (in the US) a landlord cannot enter an apartment without advance
notice unless there is a 'emergency' condition......i.e. a water leak etc.
