Default Megadose birth surgery (also: Vit C 'idiots': Do we have proof that body isn't using megadoses?)

MEGADOSE BIRTH SURGERY

Pregnant women are being subjected to megadose birth surgery.

Obstetric surgeons are knowingly closing birth canals up to 30% and
megadosing our culture with unnecessary birth surgery. (Pregnant women: You
can help avoid episiotomy and c-section: It's easy to allow your birth
canal to OPEN the "extra" up to 30% - see the URLs below.)

Surgeon Peter Moran MB BS BSc(Med) FRCS FRACS doesn't want to stop this
sometimes fatal megadose surgeon quackery...

Surgeon Peter understandably (though unconscionably) wants to focus instead
upon MD "idiots" (and other "idiots") who are "pushing" megadose Vit C...

Surgeon Peter says we have proof that the body isn't using megadoses...

So I ask the VIT C "IDIOTS": DO WE HAVE PROOF THAT THE BODY ISN'T USING
MEGADOSES?

See below.

use
intravenous vitamin C without producing any obvious anecdotal evidence

benefit, that I have seen...

Peter,

I thought this was "obvious anecdotal evidence of benefit"...

Robert Cathcart, MD wrote:

"Consider the following: Early in this study a 23-year-old, 98-pound
librarian with severe mononucleosis claimed to have taken 2 heaping
tablespoons every 2 hours, consuming a full pound of ascorbic acid in 2

days
without it producing diarrhea. She felt mostly well in 3 to 4 days,

although
she had to continue about 20 to 30 grams a day for about 2 months.
Subsequently, all my young mononucleosis patients with excellent GI
tracts
have responded similarly and have had equivalent increases in bowel
tolerance during the acute stage of the disease."

Have you had infectious mononucleosis, Todd?

I was never diagnosed - but I suspect I had it early in life - though maybe
not.

I was over the worst of it in
a few days, and was well within a week without the benefit of vitamins.

A week? Just think how much sooner you would have gotten better with
megadose Vit C. LOL.

Mononucleosis-gone-in-two-to-three (or four) weeks is the time frame given
at two websites...

Emedicine says:

"Mononucleosis...[may last weeks to months]...typically goes away in 2-4
weeks..."
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/articles/16277-7.asp

WebMD says:

"Most people who come down with mono feel much better within two or three
weeks, although fatigue may last for two months or longer. Sometimes the
disease lingers for a year or so, causing recurrent attacks that gradually
become more mild..."
http://my.webmd.com/content/article/7/1680_53642.htm

"The early symptoms of mononucleosis...Severe fatigue. Headache.
Sore throat, which sometimes can be very severe.
Chills, followed by a fever.
Muscle aches...additional symptoms may occur [after a day or two]..."
http://my.webmd.com/content/article/7/1680_53819

Emedicine says:

"Call your doctor for an appointment if any of the signs or symptoms of
mononucleosis appear..."
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/articles/16277-7.asp

WebMD says:

"Call Your Doctor If...You have been experiencing mono symptoms,
particularly for longer than 10 days..."
http://my.webmd.com/content/article/7/1680_53819

And of course you can consume large amounts of vitamin C for a while
without
getting diarrhoea.

Well, maybe you (and others) can consume large amounts without getting
diarrhea; but when I take the stuff in large amounts, my bowels loosen
pretty quickly without fail.

I guess we need to define "large amounts" - which I believe is the most
commonly stated crux of the issue of whether Vit C trials have been
legitimate.

These idiots take a person with a viral illness and
treat them with huge quantities of vitamin C.

I don't agree that MDs (and others) who treat people/themselves with viral
illnesses with megadose Vit C are "idiots."

Most viral illnesses are
improving within three to five days,

Timing... It's your anecdote about viral illnesses in general vs. Dr.
Cathcart's anecdote about mononucleosis.

The two websites above seem to support Dr. Cathcart's timing...just my
opinion.

which is about how long it will take
the vitamin C to produce enough irritation of the small or large bowel to
prodcuwe diarrhoea.

Vit C megadosing has produced diarrhea in me in less than a day - or
rather - I had assumed it was the Vit C.

Thus Pauling and other medically naive persons such as
Cathcart have formulated the theory that the body is actually using these
massive amounts of vitamin C. This was always very unlikely and we now
have
proof that this is not so.

Peter Moran

I was not aware that we now have proof that the body is not actually using
the massive amounts of vitamin C.

If we have such proof, I must concede that it is idiotic to treat viral
illness or anything else with massive amounts of vitamin C.

But I thought that the latest studies had only "cast grave doubt" over most
of the claims of the Vitamin C pushers - "especially the super-megadose
fanatics," as in your statement:

these latest studies
still cast great doubt over most of the claims of the Vitamin C
pushers,
especially the super-megadose fanatics in Gastaldo's post with their

"very
expensive" stools. The main message is that you do intravenous

been
subjected to decent study yet in cancer.

Why make reference to a need to do a "decent study" of intravenous
megadosing if we already have proof that the body isn't using megadoses?

I don't see an email address for that megadose Vit C "pushing" "idiot"
Robert Cathcart, MD...

I'll copy megadose Vit C expert Dr. Andrew Saul at
in hopes that he will forward this to Dr. Cathcart.

PS MEGADOSE BIRTH SURGERY

Surgeon Peter, don't forget - I offered evidence from the medical literature
that obstetric surgeons/OBs are closing birth canals up to 30% and keeping
birth canals closed when shoulders get stuck.

You called it "Gastaldo's nonsense" and said I wasn't reading the medical
literature...

See The surgeon's pretense - babies be damned...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2787

Perhaps not surprisingly, another surgeon - Surgeon Robert A. Fink, MD,
FACS - lamely sprang to your defense...

See ChB means Chirur'giae Baccalau'reus...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2793

Obvious surgeon quackery is the American obstetric *standard of care* in
American medicine's megadose most frequent surgical behavior toward males
and females - immediate cord clamping/cutting - that is - obstetric surgeons
are immediately amputating mothers from babies - amputating the natural
oxygenation/tranfusion diad (mother and placenta) - rushing babies across
the room to resuscitate them.

That's not just idiotic - it's criminal - so I've reported this obvious mass
child abuse to Michigan sheriffs - quoting retired Michigan OB George
Malcolm Morley who is also trying to end the
massive postnatal asphyxiation crime....

See Babies gasping: Michigan sheriffs to do "child abuse raid" on hospitals?
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2618

I've also reported obstetric surgeons to sheriffs for slicing vaginas en
masse - surgically inferring that everything possible is being done to open
the birth canal - even as they close the birth canal - up to 30%.

Of course, obstetric surgeons are also slicing ABDOMENS en masse
(c-section) - surgically inferring that everything possible has been DONE to
open the birth canal - even as they close the birth canal up to 30%.

Surgeon Peter, American medicine's most frequent surgeries constitute
OBVIOUS (sometimes fatal) megadose surgeon quackery - obviously CRIMINAL
quackery - and you are silent...

THAT'S idiotic - but I don't think you are an idiot...

It is understandable but unconscionable that a surgeon would fail to help
expose and end sometimes fatal megadose surgeon quackery.

It's MUCH more comfortable for the surgeon to call his fellow MDs (and
others) "idiots" for "pushing" megadose Vit C...

If we now have proof that the body is not actually using the massive amounts
of vitamin C employed by these MD "idiots" and others - why are you calling
for a "decent study" of megadose Vit C in cancer treatment?

When you answer, please also state the reason you - a surgeon - are silent
about megadose surgeon quackery that sometimes kills.

Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,

Todd

Dr. Gastaldo
