Can kids taste wine?
In the past few years, I've seen more and more resports about the
benefit of certain wines such as red wine to adults. Searching on the Internet for "children health wine" all seem to point to articles about alcoholism or children of alcoholics. I want to see a scientific study on whether children exhibit the benefit as adults in controlled wine drinking (or should I say tasting, due to their smaller body size), and that their health is positively or adversely affected... Does anybody know such study? Note, I'm not talking about alcohol abuse or any social consequence. Thanks. Yong Huang yong321ATyahoo.com |

Children drink wine all the time in France and other countries.
And in France and some other countries, they also learn to drink more responsibly at a young age. Jeff |

Thanks, Jeff. I've never heard of any social or health problems
specific to French children. So I suppose there's no evidence of adverse effect of children drinking a controlled amount of wine. Does anybody know studies of *positive* effect on children then?
