Default Spanking not best BUT CRIMINALIZING FAMILES?

Spanking is NOT the best, nor should it be the first, nor is it utilized as
much as formerly.

But do we wish to live in a United States which disregards parents'
childrearing philosophies for one imposed by a cadre of state employees?

Remember the USSC has ruled that PARENTING IS A FUNDAMENTAL LIBERTY INTEREST.

The state makes a very flawed parent. As is evident in the public perception
of CPS and its abysmal Child Protective agencies.

You certainly have supported and advocated the practice. Getting cold feet?

But do we wish to live in a United States which disregards parents'
childrearing philosophies for one imposed by a cadre of state employees?

Do we wish to live in a United States that ignores the health, safety
and protection of our most vulnerable citizens, our children?

Remember the USSC has ruled that PARENTING IS A FUNDAMENTAL LIBERTY INTEREST.

You understand this as well as you understand a previous article you
posted, claiming that CPS was worried that it would be "unfunded" now
that sexual molestation appears to be declining.

The state makes a very flawed parent. As is evident in the public perception
of CPS and its abysmal Child Protective agencies.

The state is not a PARENT, nor does the state act as a PARENT. This is
why children removed from PARENTS are placed in foster care, with a
PRIVATE HOME, WHERE CHILDREN CAN HAVE THE EXPERIENCE OF LIVING IN A
FAMILY THAT THE STATE CANNOT PROVIDE.

Good grief, Fern. You're the best reason for anti-spanking and pro-CPS
that I've seen in a very long time. And what is great, you get better
with every post!
