Default How to Handle A Friend (long)

I'm curious, did you have one yourself? I'd like to hear about any and all
experiences...

I don't have children, I'm just slowly planning. And I'm scared
sh*tless of c-sections. I figure that even though I won't be able to
protest during contractions, DH will be my advocate and hopefully,
most of the choices will have been made before. That's why I'm doing
all this research beforehand, so that I'm not in the middle of labour
having to decide about something I have pretty much zero time to think
about. I know that may stil happen, but I'm doing as much research as
I can in advance to try to avoid that.

My mother went through a really bad labour, her doctor lost his
license shortly after I was born. She had many complications, though
they still didn't seem as nasty as your experience. And even though
she gave birth a second time with no c-section, she seems to have this
idealistic view of c-sections. She's only been exposed to people who
have had good c-section experiences, so that's why I just wanted to
point out that it may not be as nice as what you're hoping for.

I realize you've had a traumatic experience the first time around. I
have no idea what the chances are that you'll have a bad experience
again. I hope that whatever happens, the results are good. I think
that from this group, you have a good idea what the pros and cons of
your choices are.

Good luck with everything!

Michelle
