How are you all? Are you getting any sleep? Does it still hurt when
they latch on?

Kamron is also 5 weeks old (5th June), and is doing great! It doesn't hurt
when he latches on, that stopped for me after 1 week, but my nipples are
used to it as this is the 5th baby I have breastfed.

Kam was born weighing 7 pounds 9 and a half, and now weighs 12 pounds! He
jumped from the 25th centile to the 91st! He has turned out to be the
biggest baby, even though he wasn't the heaviest at birth.
I sleep so good now too, Kamron cluster feeds before I go to bed, and if he
doesn't I wake him and feed him, then he goes down in his cot for a whole 6
hours! Yippee!

Also he has calmed down in the day, he feeds every 3-4 hours now.
I feel much better, thanks for asking. )

How are you and baby moo boy?

DS is almost 6 weeks (June 3).

DS is doing fine. He's been gaining almost a pound a week.

I'm still tired.

Are you getting any sleep?

DS seems to be sleeping more lately. I hope it's because he's in his
growth spurt (do babies sleep more during growth spurts?) and not
because he's gradually mixing up his days and nights.

He still nurses every 2 (3 if I'm very lucky) hours around the clock.
One night I was able to get 3 hours of sleep and it felt wonderful
(aside from being engorged upon waking up). I think I also may be a
factor in his night wakings - when I get too full, I wake up and then I
wake DS up to nurse.

Sleep wasn't a problem until this week when I had to get DD (5 yo) and
her friend off to day camp by 9 am. Ugh. That was the time DS and I
would wake up for the day. Waking up at 7 am is a lot harder -
especially now that I also have to get DD dressed and fed and out of the
house by 8:15 am.

Does it still hurt when they latch on?

Nursing is a lot less painful this time around - maybe because I
actually know what I'm doing now. We didn't have any problems with
latching.

Caterpillar is 6 weeks (May 31) , but I still feel sort of

Are you getting any sleep?

Yes, actually. But I hand off the baby when the feeding is
done, and have always been able to fall back asleep quickly,
so I only lose about 20 minutes every 3 hours.

Last night, we tried going to be an hour earlier (which
bumped all the night feeds up an hour), and I felt much more
rested than normal, for some reason.

Does it still hurt when
they latch on?

Not really. I let her latch get sloppy on the "good" side,
because I wanted her to nurse on that side more while the
other side healed up. Now I want her to nurse on the other
side more until the soreness subsides a bit. :P

Sammy's 4 1/2 weeks, do I count?

I get up 2 to 3 times a night, so I consider
myself lucky. (Knock on wood.) It hurts a
little bit when baby latches on initially,
but then it's just pressure, so it's fine.
I had a great LC in the hospital.
