Oh, *you're* not Barbara - just *me*. *I* am their target. This has
nothing to do with what's really being discussed. It's all personal
vendetta.

She stated clearly in her post that it was not a regular councelor. The
councelors did what they are trained to do.. CHEER UP THE CAMPER. Have you
ever been upset and people wanted you to smile so no matter what they did it
just TICKED YOU RIGHT OFF? and she was 16 While yes that is young it isnt
a child... unless that was a typo. Also she told other campers what
happened so I assume she knew what was going on. I said she reacted normaly
under the circumstances but if she had been forthright about what happened
then it may have changed how she was treated later.

I was molested myself in my own home by someone that should have been
trusted. I also reacted normaly but I did finaly tell and after that the
man was never allowed to enter the home again even though I did not find out
til much later that no charges where ever followed because I told the people
that needed to be told and I refused to talk about it again.

Tori
Did it ever cross your mind that the people *in charge* may have been
the ones molesting? That they may have had a "no phone calls for any
reason" policy? That she may have *tried* to tell someone but was
told to "shut up, buck up, quit crying, go sit down and join the
others"? You're talking about a CHILD here - who may not have even
known *what* had happened, but knew it was wrong and made her feel bad,
scared and confused. That she felt sghe couldn't trust an adult
because an ADULT who was *supposed to be trustworthy* did this to her.

The more I read the responses by the idiots in this ng, the more I pity
the children in this country. I really do.

You place way too much importance on your existence in this group.

The discussion was in regard to making an elementary school-aged child
ride *two hours* to school on a school bus - specifically a
special-needs child. Google it. I said anyone who made their child
ride TWO HOURS on a bus sucks as a parent. Yes, I said that and I
believe it. I also said that you have NO IDEA who is driving that bus.
That's a fact, unless you know the driver personally. For those
reasons, I believe *my child* is safer in *my own car*. So sue me.

Because really, the answer to that question speaks volumes about
your attitude, and responses.

That discussion has *nothing* to do with providing a child a means of
calling his parents if he is in trouble, in an EMERGENCY. Why the ****
you can't seem to understand that we are talking about an EMERGENCY is
beyond me.

Nope. You said your kid will have a cell phone because YOU want him
to, damn any policies. THAT is why your posts have been discussed.

But I get it. You're obviously one of those parents who simply doesn't
give a ****. Kids get beaten up, kids get bullied, kids get molested,
kids get raped. **** happens, eh?

Funny, you like to whine about being attacked, yet you do it yourself.

Nooooo, not me :-)
Hey, just recently Lyn was all aglow that Treenie said she acted like
a PNB. What a kick it must be for her to receive validation from a
Childfree. Wonder what changed his mind?

Oooh, I know! Lyn would pay the $400 for a new one since buying a
USED one would make her trailer trash.
Personally, I'll take the free gas oven I got off Freecycle from
someone that decided to upgrade when her catering biz got off the
ground. It works great!
