January 2004 Parents magazine

GRRRRRR!! I've just opened up my Parent's magazine, and I'm already furious.
I'm sure I'll have more to be ****ed at by the time I finish, but I wanted
to give folks the Heads-up. I'm going to be writing to the editors, and I
wanted the bfing community here to know about it first.

Page 68 has a question about a BFing 7month old not eating solids yet, "What
should I Do?" The answer SOUNDS good, but is basically a recipe for weaning.
AND...it says "Teach your baby he can't nurse for comfort - at 7 months he
should be able to comfort himself."

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Page 112 is in an article on what to bring to the hospital when you go in
for the birth of your baby; a sidebar says to bring "Earplugs & an Eyemask"
so you can get some rest, especially if you have a roommate." WTF?? What
about HEARING YOUR BABY should the babe need you???????

Okay, that's as far as I've gotten just now - I'll read the whole article
before sending a letter.

I totally missed that one. I just read the magazine the other day. I must of
glanced at it and figured it didn't apply to me. They are idiots. I just
like the pictures. I also got all choked up over the SIDS article.
