Ok.. My DH is gonna be deploying this week so he definitly won't be her when
this DD arrives. All the sudden I'm terrified I won't be able to fill out
the birth certificate paperwork because we haven't agreed on a name yet.

Here's our short list. I've won the middle name battle, it doesn't look
like I'm going to win the first name battle, so while none of these names
are my favorite, they're what we agree on so far.

Haley
Riley
Brianna (yay, no U, Sophie!)
Katrina

Any opinions?

I'm partial to Riley (for a boy or a girl).

I like Katrina best, myself. Haley and Riley both strike me as too trendy
and, while Brianna is a nice enough name, I'm just not overly fond of it.
So, if *I* were picking from that list, it would be Katrina.

Totally agreeing with Barbara :-)

I like Katrina best of the four; actually, I like Katrina a lot. But
since you already have a Katie, that might be a bit confusing. Even
if you're careful to call her Katrina all the time, other people (or
she herself) might shorten it to Katie or Kat.

I also like Haley, though I think I like Hayley better as a spelling.
It seems really trendy these days though.

I guess I'll be the odd man out :-) These two are my favorite by a long
shot! I like them equally well so I couldn't pick between them, lol.

I agree with Sara on this one. When I picked Katrina, I didn't know Denise
had a Katie. As far as I'm concerned, Katie, Katherine, Katrina, and all
alternative spelling are the same name, so to me, it would be like naming
two kids the same thing. I couldn't do that.

Having said that, I grew up with a girl who was named Mary whose sister was
named Marie. That's even *more* alike than Katie and Katrina! They both
seemed pretty well-adjusted, so it may not matter very much.

I also like Haley, though I think I like Hayley better as a
spelling. It seems really trendy these days though.

I think, under the circumstances, I'd probably wind up going with Brianna,
even though I'm not that wild about it and think it's too popular, or
Rhianna/Rhiannon if I could sell it, just to avoid having two children with
such similar names. But that's just me.

I kinda like it, but it is too unusual for me

It's hardly unusual, though. It was the 17th most common girl's name in 2003

I agree with the Katie/Katrina thing. We probably wouldn't give her a
nickname, and if we did it would be Katya, but it is too close to Katie. I
think I have him resonably sold on Rhiannon, of course that may change in
the next 10 minutes.

I have a stereotype for these names. So I don't like them too much. (of
course that is my own problem that I stereotype names)

Brianna (yay, no U, Sophie!)

What?! Where do you live?

Katrina

I like this name a lot. I also have a stereotype for Katrinas But a
real good one. I always think of Katrina as a pretty girl, who is so
nice but cool at the same time.

Any opinions?

Denise

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for Rhiannon, then.
