Default Had your flu shot yet?

Why would a product the FDA declared "Toxic" and "Ineffective" in 1982 be
in Flu vaccines?

Autism can't be caused by Thimerosal because they took it out of children's
vaccines in 2001 and children kept getting autism. It turns out that they
didn't take it out of flu vaccines.

The Age of Autism: CDC probes vaccines

The CDC continues to recommend flu shots -- most of which contain
thimerosal -- for pregnant women and for children 6 to 23 months of age. The
agency has declined to express a preference for the thimerosal-free version,
citing concern that it might cause some parents to forego immunizing their
children against flu if they cannot obtain it.

In addition, tens of millions of children around the world are being
injected with thimerosal-containing vaccines, based heavily on the
assurances of U.S. health authorities that it is safe and does not cause
autism.

.. Thimerosal was first introduced into vaccines
in the 1930's and autism was first discovered by Leo Kanner in
the early 1940's among children born in the 1930's. Studies
prior to 1970 estimated autism to occur in 1 in 2,000 children
while studies after 1970 showed the prevalence at about 1 in
1,000. This was also a period of increased immunization of
American children. In 1996 the NIH has estimated the rate of
autism to be higher at 1 in 500, and just this year the CDC has
found 1 in 250 children affected with classic autism. This
dramatic increase in the past decade coincides with the
introduction and spread of two new thimerosal containing
vaccines, the HIB and the hepatitis B
Another observation is that autistic symptoms emerge within
a short time after vaccination, generally following a period of
normal development. Importantly, the amount of mercury injected
with each vaccine given as a bolus or spike does greatly
exceeds EPA and safety guidelines and thus is highly likely to
be neurotoxic and injurious.

Dr. Enayati said in his statement in 1982, 18
years ago--and it's in the Federal Register--an FDA panel
concluded that thimerosal is toxic, causes cell damage, can
cause allergic reactions, and is not effective in killing
bacteria or halting their replication.
That was 18 years ago. Why, if we knew that 18 years ago,
did they continue to let that be put into these vaccines? Does
anybody know the answer to that?

By early 2001 we expect to have an adequate
thimerosal-preservative-free vaccine supply for all of the
routinely recommended childhood vaccines

However, the NAS also estimated that more than 60,000 children
are born each year at risk of adverse neurodevelopmental
effects such as overall cognitive ability, language
development, spatial perceptual skills, and motor skills due to
in utero methylmercury exposure

My appologies for being off topic.

But why would a product the FDA declared "Toxic" and "Ineffective" in
1982 be in Flu vaccines?

It does not set alarm bells off in your head?

It is pulled from all those child vaccines.

They then add this product that was found to not work and might cause them
to pay out billions in lawsuits to their flu vaccines?

Explain it to me. I just can't see a reasonable answer.
