Default Bruise on breast?

For two days I have had a tender sore patch on my breast in the crease
underneath. It wasn't hot or red, but was just tender to the touch. I felt
ill last night like I had mastitis, but don't have a lump. Today I looked in
the mirror and I have a patch that is dark red/purple not quite like a
bruise. What could this be? It hurts when Kam feeds from the affected side.

It could have been a bruise from a bad latch. Owww Abby gave me a few
of those, and they hurt so bad.

I've seen a bruise on the areola from a bad latch. Babies
are *very* good at sucking, and if they do it in the wrong
place for any length of time, watch out!

Mine was almost in the crease of the breast underneath. It wasn't from a bad
latch. It's gone now.
