? about Accutane

My 13 year-old son has been taking Accutane about a month now. He has, or
had, terrible acne that wouldn't respond to creams and antibiotics. Other
than very dry and sore lips, he has no other symptoms. And his acne is
getting better every day, which is a relief for him (and me).

I was curious if any one else here has a child on Accutane. How long did it
take for their acne problem to clear up? What medication did you use for
dry lips? My son won't use anything on his lips so I guess they don't hurt
so much as they just look like they hurt. Did your child have to repeat
Accutane? The doctor said that he'll stop taking it after 6 months but may
have to take it again.
