True, which means Could you descibe how 'extreme caution' is being used in using new vaccines? Any adverse events, whether doctors think they are caused by the vaccines or not must be reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a database which looks for possible problems. In addition, to get a vaccine licensed, it must be proven that it is safe and effective. How about putting in place a program to screen infants and identify at-risk factors? Screen them for what? How about testing for allergies to vaccine ingredients before vaccinating? Is there a big problem with people having vaccine allergic reactions that would be prevented if they were tested? How about asking for information on previous reactions or on family history of vaccine reactions, or history of auto-immune disease before vaccinating? Is there any evidence this would achieve anything? Would any of those be considered as exercising reasonable caution? Quite frankly, I don't think so. Other than to waste time and money. Quite right what you say - extreme caution must be used when using new drugs. Or old drugs. Or any drugs. I don't remember any caution being used when my class was lined up for our jabs at school without parental consultation. That was in the UK in 1970's. Anything changed? Not much. Or my daughter's doctors exercising any caution before they injected her with vaccines. Or any caution being used in screening for potential risk factors before vaccinating. Sorry, I don't know what they do in the UK. There are many who believe that vaccination practice over the last hundred years has led to an explosion in auto-immune diseases or conditions that seem to involve an abnormal immune activity. You can believe that the extinction of purple monsters caused an explosion auto-immune system diseases. That doesn;t make it so. In many of these conditions, it is not clearly understood to what the immune system is reacting. Conditions such as arthritis, celiac disease, diabetes, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS and Cancer are among the primary diseases of Modern Civilization. Autism can now be added to this list. So can kids hitting each other after watching violent TV shows. But that doesn't make it so, either. The fact of the matter is that there is no good evidence that vaccines cause autism. This was carefully investigated. You forgot obesity, heart disease, type II diabetes and heart attacks. Can you please provide real evidence that vaccines cause any of these or the ones you listed? The chances of an abnormal reaction of the immune system being caused by a process whose stated aim is to cause an unusual reaction of the immune system is, in my humble opinion, fairly high. What process has a stated aim of causing an unusual reaction of the immune system? Certainly not vaccination. The stated purpose of vaccination is to cause the immune system to recognize a particular foreign oganism and to mount a well-known and predictable reaction against the organism that protects the person who gets the vaccine against that organism. jeff |

Educate yourself. No, you educate yourself. I already did. No. You accepted as fact the story that sounded the best. You are a scientifically illiterate imbecile whose worthless prognostications are not even humorous and, therefore, wholly without value. You have yet to back any claim you've made with anything but a spam fake-Viagra sales site and incoherent bull****. That you call your stunted intellectual growth an "education", unfortunately, says more about the modern education system than your deluded mind. m |

Jeff http://saras-autism-diet.freeservers...connection.PDF Autism - the Vaccine Connection (pdf) Describes in detail how vaccination altered human immunity, and the consequences for all our lives. As this altered immunity is passed on, each generation makes new immunogenetic adaptations in an attempt to protect the developing fetus and which can be seen in the host of new immunological disorders emerging in each new generation. One of these adaptations is called autism. |

Jeff Circulating autoantibodies to neuronal and glial filament proteins in autism. Singh VK, Warren R, Averett R, Ghaziuddin M. Department of Psychiatry, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor 48109-1065, USA. Autoimmunity may be a pathogenic factor in autism, a behavioral disorder of early childhood onset. Circulating autoantibodies are produced in organ-specific autoimmunity; therefore, we investigated them in the plasma of autistic subjects, mentally retarded (MR) subjects, and healthy controls. Autoantibodies (IgG isotype) to neuron-axon filament protein (anti-NAFP) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (anti-GFAP) were analyzed by the Western immunoblotting technique. We found a significant increase in incidence of anti-NAFP (P = .004) and anti-GFAP (P = .002) in autistic subjects, but not in MR subjects. Clinically, these autoantibodies may be related to autoimmune pathology in autism. |

Jeff Strong association of the third hypervariable region of HLA-DR beta 1 with autism. Warren RP, Odell JD, Warren WL, Burger RA, Maciulis A, Daniels WW, Torres AR. Center for Persons with Disabilities, Utah State University, Logan 84322, USA. We reported that the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) including the null allele of the C4B gene and the extended haplotype B44-C30-DR4 is associated with autism. We report now that the third hypervariable region (HVR-3) of certain DR beta 1 alleles have very strong association with autism. The HVR-3 of DR beta 1* 0401 or the shared HVR-3 alleles DR beta 1* 0404 and DR beta 1* 0404 and DR *0101, was expressed on extended haplotypes in 23 of 50 (46%) autistic subjects as compared to only 6 of 79 (7.5%) normal subjects. Another HVR-3 sequence, the DR beta 1* 0701 allele, was carried on extended haplotypes in 16 (32.0%) of the autistic subjects as compared to 8 (10.1%) of the normal subjects. |
