Default "I dressed myself today!"

Hi all,
My kids are 10 and 12 now and it seems like yesterday that they were
really little! I look with longing on those pictures and video and
let
them sit on my lap as long as they want because pretty soon they
won't
want too... Anyway...

When my oldest was 2-3, I let her wear whatever she chose. I am not
tied up to the idea that she all had to match -- she just had to feel
good about herself and proud of the job she did getting dressed by
herself. I remember going into the pediatrician's office one time
when
she had "dressed herself" and he gave me a button that proclaimed "I
dressed myself today!" It was perfect for her to wear because she was
so darn proud, and also good for me because people didn't assume that
I dressed her in the dark!

I've been thinking about those buttons and made one just for fun. I
can only make one gender (due to restrictions of cafepress) so I made
a girl. If you are interested, and think they are cute, you can get
one at:
