Default Q about spending time on tummy for 1 month old

a) *Is* this Boob Hysteria (he is only just starting to realize that
the world actually contains some objects that, incredible as it may
seem, *are not actually boobs* and thus cannot actually provide milk),
or what? Is this common?

My kids were/are all bottle fed. They all did/do the same thing. Nolan does
it now, it's funny. We call it the shark feeding frenzy.

b) Am I right in thinking he should be spending some time on his tummy
by now?

Eh, not too sure it's that important yet. We do it after the other kids are
in bed, in the evening. We lie next to him on our stomachs and talk to him
while he lays there.

and c) Is there anything y'all think we should be doing differently?

I don't think so.

I do remember at one of Charlotte's first appointments, the Dr asking if she
could raise herself on her elbows if she was on her stomach. I said how
should I know, you said only to put her on her back, so that's all I ever
did - lol.

Some perhaps, but he doesn't need much. My midwife said at that age she
would not recommend giving them more than 5 mins at a time. DD only gets
tummy time every 2nd or 3rd day, and her neck, legs, arms etc at 6 weeks
seem to be strengthening up fine. She makes crawling motions when put on her
tummy even though she's spent very little time there. She's a side sleeper,
BTW.
