Default wierdness

I just found copies of my maternity notes, from the time we were in Korea,
which was 16-32 weeks pregnant with number 2. Though we had not planned to
have ultrasound, we did end up having a couple due to other complications,
I'd looked at the write ups before, though not at the time as we weren't
given them then, but there was som abbreviations that I didn't work out and
writing that I couldn't read, but this time I figured out some more stuff,
seems Ada had a choroid plexus cyst, now, I know that that in itself is not
a problem, but that it is linked with some chromosomal abnormalities, but I
quick check online found that with those, they almost always find
abnormalities in the heart, hand or foot, so an isolated CPC is not a
concern. Now it's something I've seen posted here, with people worrying and
concerned, can't remember if anything was suggested, but looking back this
is one moment when I'm glad that we weren't told and that our wishes were
respected with regards other testing, the time of the first scan was about
the time when you would have afp/triple screen and it was mentioned, but we
declined and that was respected. I'm usually all for doctors telling you
everything, but this has shed a new light on things, perhaps there really
are times when ignorance is bliss.

Cheers

Anne
