Child Support Adjustment question
Child Support Adjustment question
I live in SC and pay child support and have for 5+ years. My exwife was in college so she had an IMPUTED income. Now she is working and making 3-times the imputed amount. I am going to go back to court to have it hopefully reduced a little, and I am seeking legal counsel but in the interim (waiting on a reference) I had a question. SC law provides that certain credits or adjustments are allowed both parents in determining the CS amount. One thing is child-care costs. My exwife has had another child from her new marriage. Would she get to take that credit for this child that is not mine? The regulations do not say, I would think that she would NOT be able to, but thought I would ask. Thanks in advance. chaz- |

You'll end up paying way more. But, have fun! Court is great!
