COLUMBIA, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Tennessee say a spat over chewing
gum ended with a 14-year-old boy stabbing his twin brother to death.

The sheriff's office in Maury County says the twins were arguing when
one grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his brother in the chest.

The sheriff says the surviving teen, who has not been identified is very
remorseful. He is being charged with first-degree murder.

The principal at the boys' middle school says it will be "a hard life
lesson" and "a long healing process" for their classmates.

School officials probe paddling incident

By Thomas Munro
Staff Writer

A Mt. Pleasant resident has alleged a paddling of her son at Mt.
Pleasant Middle School crossed the line into child abuse, but a grand
jury disagreed.

The 38-year-old woman said her 12-year-old son was struck nine times
with a paddle after misbehaving at the school late last week. She said
he was paddled three times by a teacher, who she said then handed the
paddle to the boy's biological father.

The woman said the biological father, whom she said has no legal custody
of the child, hit him twice with the paddle, which broke on the second
strike. The woman and her son say the biological father then paddled the
boy four more times with the broken paddle. According to school board
policy, corporal punishment should be limited to three strikes. ...

Naaaw, couldn't be.

Right boys?

Yer a nut case Kane.
There is no connection between these two stories is there?
Was the pretense a moral or ethical lie?

I think there is.

I asked for your opinion.

I'll take it that was yours.

Was the pretense a moral or ethical lie?

There was no pretense that I can see. What do you consider a pretense
in this original post of mine?

As for "lie," ...

Neither. Is anyone's life in danger? I do not mislead unless that is so
in the real world, not the theoretical one we argue in here.

Do you think there is no connection, no positive correlation, between
spanking and violence, Greg?

An awful lot of researchers think otherwise, and quite a few
professional observers of those subject to spanking.

Tennesee, in this case, in the very geographical location for both
stories, there is paddling in schools and there is violence by school
aged children.

If you think there is no connection you are entitled to your opinion.

If you model violence to children you will likely get more of the same.

Do your kids all post gratuitous profanity worldwide?
Do they employ your brand of verbal assault?

They certainly don't abide fools and moral cretins. Is that what you
meant?

Do they employ your brand of verbal assault?

They certainly don't allow liars and toxic dangerous people to go
unchallenged. Is that what you meant?

What was modeled for you, Gigolo values?
