I think I want to register at Burlington....

It's never to early to begin deciding what you would like.

You can start doing your research on the major gear, like carseats and
strollers, but if you're planning to register for blankets and clothing and so
on, don't do it yet. You'll wind up with a list full of things that aren't
available any more, since the store's stock will change seasonally.

Even with the gear, I'd start figuring out brands and models, but wait to pick
out patterns/colors, because those may change between now and March/April too.
Just get the registry set up by the time the shower invitations are sent.

Last I checked, their return policy wasn't great. You might want to make
sure before you commit to getting everything from there.

Yes, I can vouch for that. They will not let you return anything even if you
do have a receipt. I would find out from the store though on that particular
store's return policy.

Fantastic advice. I never would have thought about stock changing.

True. At least at my local Burlington Coat Factory. THe stated return
policy is that they accept returns within 14 days only and you MUST have a
receipt. They do not return cash or give a credit to your credit card,
returns ONLY get a store credit.

They 'liberalized' their policy for Christmas gifts. They would accept
returns on Christmas gifts until something like Jan 8th, but only with a
receipt, and only for store credit.

I hardly ever shop there because of the return policy.
