Default nativity scene

we were roped into being a live Mary, Joseph and Jesus for an event at
church, someone had done a very good job and we were provided with
costumes and an excellent stable with a manger, sheep footstools and a
small rocking horse. Nathanael was dressed in a white sleep suit and
wrapped in a pillow case. I cradled him like a newborn and he decided that
if he was going to be held like a newborn he would behave like one, he
started pulling at my costume in an attempt to get to the breast, I had to
give in, even though it was less than 2 hours since he had eaten. I ended
up sitting there feeding him whilst a stream of toddlers came and gazed at
us and multiple people came and took photos. Thankfully by the time
somebody came to video the scene he had finished his munch and was lieing
looking very angelic in the manger, though his attempts to eat the straw
were perhaps less authentic!

Hey, I think that's wonderful . . . and ESPECIALLY about him deciding to nurse.
Let it remind people that Jesus wasn't fed with a bottle.

I can't think of a single inappropriate thing about this scene! :-) How
nice. What a great thing for all those toddlers to see.

When I saw the title of your post, I thought you were going to mention the
new ad on tv, the one for Mr Kipling cakes, where they show children
watching a nativity scene, and they pull back the curtain and there's a
woman on a bed giving birth with her gas and air! lol

How sweet that little Nathanael got to be in the play, and how true to life
the play became!
