Default Movement detected?

It depends on a lot of stuff including whether the placenta is on the front
or the back. With this first child I felt strange bubbles around 13 weeks,
the odd isolated bump (kick) around 17-18 weeks and full blown kickage by 19
weeks that any fool could feel with hand -- I'm pretty sure the placenta is
in the back.

om...
This morning my wife says "I think I felt the baby move."
Groggy, I grunted, "Huh? What?"
"I felt something wierd."
Quickly wakening, and excited, I asked "Are you sure?"
"I don't know, maybe not. It just felt like a wierd feeling."

So, I am guessing that at 17-18 weeks my wife has felt what is
probably the first detectable movement, but its hard to know for sure.
I know many women here felt movements this early (even earlier). She
said it was hard to describe, so without any tangible evidence (other
than a growing belly), I guess we'll have to wait for the ultrasound
to see this baby move!

It most probably is moving, they will only get stronger from here on up
to birth, if you put light to the belly and move it around the baby
will play since it can see the light, I did it with both of mine.. lol,
another 6 weeks you should be able to feel the baby moving good and see
it moving through the belly, bumps will pop up, very cool looking.. lol,
when I was about 34 weeks with my first son, he kicked me so hard in a
perkins that my milkshake got knocked off the table. No joking there..
lol

I am 14 weeks pregnant with #2, and I have already felt movement.

Okay, where should I place my hand when trying to feel the baby movement?

Wait until your wife feels the baby kick several times in the same spot.
Then, have her take your hand and put it exactly where she feels it kicking.
It will probably be kicking relatively close to her pubic bone at this point
(well, maybe midway between the pubic bone & the belly button--probably off
to one side or the other).

Have fun!
