Default Another singleton after twins question....

I have twin girls who will be two in a month (!!!) and am expecting a
singleton in mid-June. Did anyone have mults then a singleton so close
together? I'm not sure how we will get from point A to point B --
twins in a stroller and singleton in a carrier or Snugli or something,
or baby in a stroller and twins walking. (I should mention that one of
my girls is pretty delayed and has just started walking in the last
few weeks -- we're hoping she'll be getting around much better by the
time the baby comes). There is no way I'm buying a triplet stroller
for the short period of time it might be useful.

I'm just having a hard time imagining how I will get all three to the
doctor, Easter Seals, etc., without help (which I don't have and can't
get most of the time). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hi Paula,

Obviously I have not been in your situation, but I just wanted to
mention that I think you will use a triplet stroller for a good three
years. I have a good friend whose three boys are all 15 mos. apart,
and she used hers until the oldest was almost 5. Yes, they are
expensive and bulky, but I can't think of any other way! I'm
interested to hear what others have to say.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. :-)

Your kids are closer in age than my twins/singleton were, so I think you
might benefit from some triplet moms. Does Janet still post here? She had
triplets and then a younger singleton!

I'd think you would still need to keep your stroller for your 2-year-olds
just as an option for when they get tired. If it were me, I'd use a
stroller for the twins & put the baby in a Snugli for the first several
months. Perhaps by the time your son is 6 months old, and your girls are
over 2 1/2, they can learn to walk alongside the stroller. I always made my
twins walk with a hand on the stroller when I pushed my singleton in it (I
had one twin on each side). It was an absolute requirement that they keep a
hand on at all time! I was too worried about losing a kid. :-)

Hi there,
Just found this group but thought I could have some input on this subject.
I am vice president of my local multiple birth association here is
Australia. We have a few families in your situation. One that comes to
mind has a 2 1/2 year old, 15 month old twins and a new born. They have
just been given a triplet pram by our club for their use. Maybe if you cant
afford a pram you could look for "twin clubs" in your area. Many here in
Australia hire or give prams and other equiptment to families in need. Also
you could consider (if it is available in your country) A Twin Jogger pram
as most models of these you can attach a toddler seat to some even take two
toddler seats. I myself have 3 yearold twins one with a delay as well and am
expecting number 3 in june I have chosen to continue using my twin pram but
attaching a baby carrier to the roof of it for the first 3or 4 months then i
will invest in a scooter step or seat for the pram so that one can stand or
sit at the back while the youngest and my twin with delay can sit in the
pram.
