Default Triggering colostrums and milk flow

I'm embarrassed to ask this, and I'm glad that no one can see me blushing,
but will my husband's propensity to suckle my breasts stimulate early milk
and offset Mother Nature's time clock? I'm in my eighth month and I'm
worried that his sucking (Coitus is against doctor's orders) is producing
colostrums that won't be there for our daughter when she begins to
breastfeed.

Couple of comment. His sucking will NOT affect the change from
colostrum into milk. This is done by the hormone changes at
birth and for the next couple of weeks and months. Actully,
if anything, it will cause you to produce slightly MORE colostrum
at birty by "priming the pump" so to speak.

Secondly, why is sex contraindicated at 8 months (I'm assuming this
is 36 weeks.) Unless you have some high risk condition, it should
be perfectly safe.

OB is concerned about abruptio placentae. Risk, fortunately, is low.

It won't hurt a thing. Your body will just keep making more colostrum. The
switch to milk happens due to the baby being born, loosing the placenta,
hormones...all those things but not the elimination of colosturm.

I was able to express OUNCES of colostrum months before my baby was born,
and all that happened when she did arrive was that I produced EVEN MORE...
no need to worry!

What everyone else said. The delivery of the placenta will cause your milk
to come in fully, and you won't be lacking in colostrum. I know a mother of
twins who chose to express some of her colostrum while pregnant and freeze
it to use if she was slow coming out of recovery from her c-section for any
reason. Nipples can get pretty sore during pregnancy, I can understand
wanting to stimulate them. FWIW, the breastfed cat is gross, your experience
is just normal. ;-)

Have you had issues with your placenta during your pregnancy?
