Decided on a new family car
You all may or may not remember me asking for new car suggestions a while back.
I ended up getting an '05 Sequoia. So far I'm enjoying it. When we brought the car home Madison said "Mommy, did we steal this car?" Dh and I almost died laughing. That's me, the hot wire Mama! I have talked to the girls about not taking things that belong to others or w/o paying for them because that is stealing, etc. So I guess it looked like stealing to her when I got the car since I didn't hand over any cash for it. I can just imagine her going to school and telling her teacher that we stole a car over the weekend! Andrea twin girls-Jordan & Maidosn 3/22/00 |

We got an '04 Volvo V70 station wagon. We all love it, including the kids. We bought it because of its reputation for safety, and the kids love knowing that they're being driven around in the safest car. I get a kick out of asking them questions like, "If you could have a Rolls Royce or a Volvo, which would you choose?", and hearing them answer, "Volvo!" -- -Seth Jackson, proud father of Derek and Mariel(10/1/99). Congrats on your new car Seth. My parents used to have a Volvo station wagon. They do have a good safety record. Andrea twin girls-Jordan & Madison 3/22/00 |

This week, the kids had a school assignment to list three things they're thankful for and why. One of my daughter's items was that she's thankful for her Volvo because it's a safe car. -- -Seth Jackson, proud father of Derek and Mariel(10/1/99). Until we bought the new Volvo, neither my wife nor I had ever owned anything but a Japanese brand car. They certainly are great cars. My wife still drives her Nissan. It's 8 years old, and it still drives like it's brand new. -- -Seth Jackson, proud father of Derek and Mariel(10/1/99).
