How should I react to my wifes pregnancy test??

Everyone's already said it, but I really do think honesty is the best
policy. You can't get caught out then. Be sensitive and understanding about
it though, and if the test is positive and she's not so happy, it might not
be the best idea to buy a truckload of pink and blue balloons!
Ask her how _she_ feels, and talk it through with her, and try to avoid open
displays of emotion if she's not feeling the same way.
She will probably interrogate you on your feelings, just be honest. If it is
positive, say, you could say to her "Well, to be honest I'm excited about
the idea of being a Dad, but I know you have some reservations and concerns
about parenthood. How can I be the most support to you?"
Just be there, be respectful and understanding, and be yourself...she'll
love you for it, eventually ;-)

My DH made the mistake of calling me a "chub-wallop" once when I was
pregnant. It was a total joke, but I never let him forget his cruel verbal
abuse of a vulnerable pregnant woman ;-)

I weighed 147 the day I gave birth to my son (and I'm 5'7"), so I don't
think I ever truly made it to chub-wallop status!

Heavens, no. I started off at 125lbs, which is a good if not slightly
low weight when you're 5'4". By the time YoungBloke arrived, I was
closer to 170lbs!
