Anyone successfully get more access?
Me ex and I have joint custody but not joint access (about 70/30 - her/me).
Anyone successfully "sue" for more access - I would like it to be at least 50/50. Any advice... I am going to court since she will not "allow" me to have more access. R. |

I am going to court since she will not "allow" me to have more : access. I think it's possible to obtain more access with some caveats. The primary reason both parents don't have 50% access is proximity of residence. If you live near to each other, I see no reason and I don't see that the court would also see a problem in having true 50% parenting time with the child. In my case, we have joint legal/physical custody but the mother moved about 115 miles away. My actual Parenting Time is about 25% due to this distance. She did this before the birth of the child. Unfortunately, the courts here (Calif.) allow the primary custodian to move and as an indirect result, reduce access by the father (in the majority of the cases) to their children. So... I think you have a good chance if you live close to the child and can demonstrate that there's no problem to the child in pursuing the situation. b. |

Anyone successfully get more access?
Here is a recent success story from our group.... www.5050custody.com
I just wanted to let you and everyone else in the NCFC, CPDF and CFF know that I finally received shared custody of [boy's name deleted] starting on Oct. 19th. I hope you can pass this to the entire group. I would like to thank everyone for the support and encouragement that I got from them. It took almost three years but the fight was worth it. All you who know [boy's name deleted] , know how precious he is to me. The best advice that I received was NEVER QUIT! I hope the rest of the group will always remember these two words. Thanks again to all. I could not have held strong without your encouragement. "R. D." wrote in message ble.rogers.com... Me ex and I have joint custody but not joint access (about 70/30 - her/me).
