Default anyone out there give birth to twins....... TWICE?

I have had 2 sets of twins, but unfortunately the first set did not make
it, but yes, I have given birth to 2 sets of twins.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

P.S. When we decide to TTC again, I hope we get more twins!!

First of all, congratulations! Second of all: my paternal grandmother had
two sets of fraternal twins, a year apart, without the influence of
medication. My dad is was the youngest of the four children and the only
boy.

megan, so sorry for your loss... and hillary, god bless your granny
huh? a year apart? good god, i bet she never left the house.

well i made the doc get me in for an ultrasound, and if its a boy i
want to name him singleton!!!!! i cant tell you how thrilled i was to
see one little sac in there.

dont get me wrong, i wouldnt trade my twins in for the world. having
two kids at the same time gave me strength i never knew i had. its
made me a wonderful mother and MOST of the time, i just enjoy the heck
out of my kids (except when they steal the bath and body soap bottle
out of the bathroom and pour it on the new kitten, ugh)

but it will be nice to have one baby to care for, no need for a book
on feeding schedule, no plan for how to juggle two infants, and two
little girls to help me in the process... i'm thrilled to be
pregnant again, but especially to do one like the normal folk.....

triplets??? my hats off to you sweetie...

Not me, but a local girl, (Dallas TX) 18 yrs old and unmarried, just had two
sets of ID twins at once. Don't have a news link for you.

There have been a few people in and out of this group who have had two
sets of twins; none of them have posted recently, though.

I recall that most of them said that things were easier the second time
around, however.

That said, I don't think it's at all unusual to be in maternity clothes
earlier during your second pregnancy.

Congratulations either way,

had tried like 3 years to get pregnant and the clomid worked like a

about 6 months ago, i decided that i wouldnt exactly mind having one
more child, that our kids are relatively normal and behaved and i
stopped taking the pill, assuming that i would need the clomid to get
pregnant.

so last week i realize i havent had a period in a good amount of time,
check my calendar, and low and behold i'm late. one grocery store
pregnancy test on thursday (pos) blood test on friday (pos) and call
to the docs to schedule an appointment on monday, and suddenly i'm
HUGE, wearing my maternity clothes, and thinking that i'm maybe 3
months or so pregnant. i'm already feeling small things in my belly.

THE PROBLEM HERE of course is that i'm getting so big, just suddenly,
and i'm definitely feeling two beings on either side of my stomach.
i'm praying that its only two, astonished that i got pregnant, let
alone possibly with twins, and completely freaked out at the potential
for having 4 children in 2 pregnancies. did anyone else have this
happen?

so its going to be definite tomorrow, i had the doc call in an
ultrasound so i go at 3. i cant wait for my appointment with the doc
to wait even lonnger for an ultra sound with out knowing whats going
on in my fish bowl...

so this is sorta a rant, sorta a gossip session... i'm in GREAT need
of calgon at the moment, how do we handle this one..... isnt life
amazing?

Yes, there's also a woman in southern NH who had a set of quads composed
of two sets of identical twins a few years ago.

My great-great-great-grandmother also had two sets (along with four
singletons), but she's of course not around to ask...
