Default Safety Harness For Kids

I have twin boys (20 mos). One of them has decided that it is fun to run
into the street while walking. We live in a typical suburban subdivision,
but it is enough of a concern to want to get a harness for him, to keep him
from darting out into the street.

But gosh, I feel guilty doing so, and feel like I am walking a dog.

Should I just get over it? Anyone else uncomfortable with this?

I have them and love them. Now, at 2 1/2 yo, I use them only
occasionally but I used to use them a lot. People stare at the twins
whether they have harnesses or not but when wearing the harnesses, I
received lots of smiles.

The advice to me was to not worry about what other people would think. For
me with three, there is no way that I would be able to keep control of all
three of them once they start walking. So it's just as much for my peace of
mind as it is for the baby's safety.

Megan,

I went to WalMart and it's just my luck, they only had one! So I went ahead
and bought it. I will have to go back later this week for another.

Well I did it! I went and bought two harnesses for my girls. They're
really cute and have Tweety and Sylvester on the front. They don't look as
"dog-like" as I thought they would. I decided to worry more about the
safety of my daughters and less about what people may be thinking.
