Meds, pains, high blood pressure, pain n left side
My doctor has recently taken me off of my anti-anxiety meds even though I
have come this far with a healthy baby boy he already weighs 2.5lbs at 26wks, and level 2 and echo cardio look great. My blood pressure is spiking 150/110 pulse 95. I'm having sharp pains in my right side when my blood pressure goes up, in upperr belly all the way down to my lower belly mostly though where my liver sits. Nausea is also followed by the pain. I am frustrated at what to do I was fine and so was baby before they started screwing w.my meds. Please help. Taylor |

Have you had your urine measured for protein. Upper stomach pain can
sometimes be a sign of HELLP Syndrome so it would be worth talking to your Doctor. Definitely go in to L&D and ask for a blood panel to check your liver enzymes and platelets -- this sounds like the symptoms of HELLP syndrome, and those are some *high* bp numbers. The expert researchers at the Preeclampsia Foundation who volunteer their time to answer questions about the disease seem to be in agreement that stress and anxiety can't really contribute to the development of either PE or HELLP, so I doubt it has anything to do with coming off of your anxiety meds -- it probably just is coincident. Here's a link to their comments: http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/to...?TOPIC_ID=9447 Please let us know how you get on. -- C, mama to three year old nursling |

Low baseline baby?
My baby boys heart rate stays at 110 to 115 bpm, sometimes dropping as low
as 80 bpm. This is scaring me alot! I am on pain meds(BID)12 hour release, anti-anxiety meds(as needed) and phenergan(as needed), and I am 35wks if this helps. I'm really worried as i went into labor the 30th of September and they stopped it. I'm due for a c-section on October 17th. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

If it's any help at about 20 weeks #2's heart rate was 126. I saw a scatter graph of heart rate against gestational age and her heart rate was so low it was off the bottom. It was low all the way through. If they're asleep then it will be lower-no need to worry about that. At one appointment the midwife insisted on waking her up (by prodding) before I could go, as it was low enough to be a worry. She has no heart problems at all. Debbie |
