Happy Fathers Day
"Tiffany" wrote in message ... A belated thanks. Funny part is. I got a mother's day gift this year, but no father's day gift. LOL Logical reason. His kindergarten class made them. And he lives with me. He made one for me and one for his mom. (I think I got the better one). lol He's going to go spend a couple weeks with his mom next week. I finally get some free time, but what am I gonna do with a quiet house??? Oh yeah, look for a job. lol Got furloughed by my company recently. Ok. I've rambled on too long for a "belated father's day thankyou". |

Happy Fathers Day
"Dennis Here" youreply wrote in message ... I sometimes get ****ed off with people who write off an absent parent after a year or so. Yes so do I at times......I even get more ****ed off at people who just wont let the absent parent see the kids out of pure bitchiness.....THAT REALLY gets on my goat....... What do you make of a father that hasn't bothered to see his kids ever, in 10 years.....apart from 2 very short passing thru kinda visits......And oh yeah!!...expected me to put the two lads on a plane, on their own, to the other side of the world to visit a total stranger.....their Dad!!.... Personally, I want his liver on a platter made into pate, our little kitten so loves liver!! Dolores Unfortunately, sometimes the opposite happens and the absent parent fades out of the children's lives completely. You must take re-assurance from the fact that you have always tried to mentain the contact, I remember the huge effort you made last year with the trip to Alaska. You have done your bit. perhaps you could just drop down t sending off the odd card and school report together with a photo and leave it to him for a while. No good beating yourself up about it. Don't make excuses for the gut to your son either, he is old enough to start drawing his own conclusions now. [[[[HUGS]]]] Dennis |

Dennis Knowing you Dennis, this is probably a really witty one........but it's way up there with the birdies and planes.
