Default PAS remedy

Plumb cites Richard Gardner's writings as authority that in cases where one
parent is fanatical in their animosity, immediate placement of the child
with the "hated" parent is essential to avoid irreparable psychological
damage to the child and that it is usually preferable for the "hated" parent
to have custody.
Doctor Plumb further recommends no contact between the child and the
"preferred" parent from one to a few months to reestablish the bonds between
the "hated" parent and the child without interference (pp. 72), and that any
telephone contact between the "preferred" parent and the child be supervised
while the parents and child undergo professional counseling.
