no-cry breastfeeding solution?

If he's over 6 months (as you are discussing solids), he may be too interested in the world to nurse. Try nursing in a dark, boring place. Starting about 5 months, Rocky would thrash and arch his back because he would rather look at things instead of nurse. I would just hold him firmly, in a boring place, and put him right by the nipple. He usually nursed happily then. Now, at 13 months, he would nurse a bit, then decide to run around the house. Nurse another little bit, run around again. It's frustrating, because sometimes he pops off at the letdown and then it's painful! -- Anita -- |
