[OT] Did anyone forego getting a high chair?
"iphigenia" wrote in message ... I eat the same way, FWIW : ) I'm glad we're not the only ones. Since my dining room and living room are carpeted, I also bought a yard of clear heavy vinyl at the fabric store to lay under the chair. Ah good idea, thanks. (Will also check out shower curtains, as others suggest.) BTW, over at ATF, Tennant is trying to convince me that bf is the "secondary function" of breasts in his 10-01 thread. Hmph! :P -- Belphoebe |

(I've met him several times, he's a nice enough guy but...) He's sound on character- based trivia and aerospace stuff, but I wouldn't take his word for it about birthdays, language or breasts. :-) Jac |

WalMart, K-Mart, Target, even Kohl's They're not expencive (the highes't I'd seen was $20.00 but then I found the same thing somewhere else for $10.00) If you have a Big Lots store in your area they usually have items like shower curtains for about $5 - $10. You can get onesies and baby sleepers for bargain prices as well. OH! I forgot about those guys...I have 2 of them here by me as well...and places like Dollar Tree might have them too Jen |

[OT] Did anyone forego getting a high chair?
"Belphoebe" wrote in message ... And on the flip side, did anyone think a high chair would be unneeded, only to discover it became indispensable at some point? This would describe us. We were much like you - never sitting down to eat dinner. We bought the high chair and used it more for letting DD sit and have a snack in it whle we were doing something in the kitchen or the computer (umm, dining :-) room. Then sometime around 13 months she started wanting to feed herself. We found that we had to have a place for her to sit and be able to do that without making a humongous mess all over the living room floor. These days, we have a sit down dinner every night and I'm thoroughly convinced that its very good for her to be a part of that. -- Rhiannon Mom to M. Girl (25 months) and O. Boy (4 months) |

You can buy plastic sheets specifically made for putting under highchairs, but I've never seen a clear one, which I find more aesthetically pleasing. I love this idea! Thanks for mentioning it. -- Rhiannon Mom to M. Girl (25 months) and O. Boy (4 months) |
