Not actually trying to be rude...

I so frequently hear or read this. It just ain't so...

1. It's not your body. It is only being loaded to you. You
only own your spirit. (Some would even say you don't even own
that, but you know what I mean.)

2. Ageing is inescapable change. You can never to back to being
what you were before. Children or no children.

Now, when some women say that, what they mean is that they don't
have to share it so completely with a chld. That much I will
agree with.

:-)
Larry

While I agree with point #2 (and I do *not* expect to go back to the way I
was before, just hoping that the girls will get a bit smaller again
eventually :-)), I do not agree with point #1 - it *is* my body - who else
could really lay claim to it? Unless, of course, you're going down the
religious route with it belonging to God or some other entity . . . But for
all practical purposes, it's mine to do with as I will for the segment of
time that all the cells in this body are alive (or at least the
preponderance of cells are alive, if you want to get picky).

And other than wanting a somewhat less distinctive figure up on top, my
comment is mostly about the eventual lack of sharing with my little
munchkin, my hormone levels going back to normal, having less noticeable fat
stores in other places, etc. All these things were very welcome when ds
weaned, and will be welcome again once dd is done!

But it's always interesting to read your posts, Larry - you have a
well-thought-out and distinctive point of view, even when I don't agree with
that point of view. :-) Keep on truckin'

You can expect them to be temporarily larger whenever you are engorged,
but I think that most of the time, you have hit the limit.

Well, not necessarily - I was a 38D pre-preg, got up to a 40DD during
preg, and now while nursing, I'm a 38DDD. DD is almost 4 months, too - I
had hoped they'd go back down a bit so I could wear my old nursing bras
from DS - they are a 38DD. Oh, well. I will eventually get my body back
. . . :-)

Oh, and by the way - if you want a good online place for bras, try Breakout
Bras (google them for the site, I don't have the link - sorry). They have
free shipping on all orders and a 10% discount on every order after the
first. Also, they have a variety of sizes and styles, and if you are more
of a 34F-G, that size can be hard to find - they have them! Good luck bra
shopping - it's one of those things that has been a big ol' pain in the tush
for me!

Ah, yes. I forgot to outline this part of the disucssion. Let's say
nobody in this existance. Nobody at all really, but my real point
was that no-one owns it, not *even* you. This view may be too
metaphysical to make sense to all but the most eccentric. :-)

"religious" is such a limited view of spirituality. :-) IMO,
religion is a concrete expression of spirituality.

Ah, yes. That is the term of the "loan."

Ah, now, I can understand these specific goals much more than the
general statement that started it all, and I can agree or disagree
with them specifically on a one-by-one basis. For example...

I can understand the desire for "personal space" having observed as
Monika worked thought it. I know what you mean there...

Fat stores accumulate with age. And shift positions in unexpected
ways. Don't expect to be completely successful. :-)

Hormones. There is no normal. There is only today's level. If you
don't believe me, just wait until menopause. :-)

Make plans, work to to keep your body fit, but don't get caught up
in expection of specific results. (I'm sure you know all this
already.)

Agreed. Can't say as I've come to a conclusion of what I really believe
spiritually, but there's gotta be *something* beyond the visible, tangible
world.

Don't I know it! After pg with #1, I was really surprised to find that my
hips seemed *smaller*, not bigger as I'd expect after a baby had passed
through them! But then, maybe that's just in comparison to the belly that
never quite got back to being as small as it had been pre-preggo. The ever
amazing shape-shifting body . . .

Don't expect to be completely successful. :-)

I'd settle for finding clothes that look decent on me again, but won't go
shopping for much until the *rapid* portion of the shape-shifting dies down!

Well, there is *more* normal than what I've got now - or at least more of
what I'm used to feeling. (And I will hopefully have several more years of
waiting until menopause hits, thankyouverymuch!)

Yeah, I know it - doesn't keep it from being frustrating here and there,
though . . .

Goddess makes great nursing bras. I am a 44FF and their bras work great.

Wow, I have to say, I really miss the days of huge boobs. Well, not
huge engorged pluggy boobs, but just huge boobs. I started off as a B,
went up to at least a D, and now seem to be shrinking back down to a
B/C -- and they're SAGGY!!!!! BooHiss!! And we're not even close
to weaning; I can't WAIT to see the limp bean-bags they become then.
:P I guess I'll have to get pregnant again! hehe
