Can someone help me? I have a son who is 11 years old and having
problems.Let me tell you that I am biracial and my son is african
american. He is a very angry boy. I am also a single mother, what can I
do to steer him away from the typical stereotypes so that he does not
fall into that category?

What kind of problems?

Let me tell you that I am biracial and my son is african american.

Ummmm.. If you are biracial, I assume your son is also biracial.

He is a very angry boy.

What is he angry about?

I am also a single mother,

That is not necessarily a problem.

Exactly what stereotypes are you attempting to avoid here? How
is he acting currently that plays into them?

Do you have children of this age andare they african american? It takes
two biracial parents to be biracial.Ny son is African american and
believe me it shows.I'm trying to see if someone has been through this
before, however if your child is not African american you may not
understand. You see many young African american boys begin to fall into
the typical streotypes and behaviors that are often thought of for
them.Like selling drugs and I'm trying to prevent that from happeing.
I'm assuming that he is angry at the world.I'm trying to find out.

Well, you might want to talk to him first, his father, your family, your
pastor, his teachers, or his friends instead of strangers on the internet.
We don't know him.
