Economic study? How many children do you have and what are there ages?
Granted I'm not one to give figures for a newborn since my youngest is a
teen, but I have a fairly good idea on what it should cost someone making my
income with similar attitudes concerning finances. How about that for a lot


I have friends making about the same as me. Some spend more and some spend
less. It comes down to priorities. One of them recently went through a
divorce. During the time they (him and his s2bx) were taking civilly I
tried to get him to "seal the deal", but he couldn't afford the process of
filing, etc. Later things started to get worse. She started to compare
what she was receiving to what her very rich boyfriend was paying. She
actually had the balls to question why he wasn't paying much more - he was
covering 50% of their private education, continued to carry them on his
insurance, and paying support. He has the kids 50% of the time too. Her
boyfriend was paying over $5k/month. She wanted $3k/month from my friend.
It was a good thing they had a good mediator, let me just put it that way.
