That is such a nice description - "little angels enclosed in their hearts."

I remember in the 60s visiting my grandma and asking about a photo on her
dresser. I think it was an uncle I never had.

My grandmother also lost a son, except she has no photos. Sadly, we do not
know where he is buried, but he lives in her heart, and in all of our
hearts, for eternity.
In memory of ~Anthony~ stillborn April 1941,
and ~Carlos~ stillborn November 2002.

Thanks Todd :-)
Tragically, unlike Carlos, Anthony was a victim of a difficult birth, he
had severe shoulder dystocia and died in the birth canal while my
grandmother was undoubtedly in the lithotomy position and drugged out of her
mind, this being 1941. Definitely a preventable death at any rate, so
thankyou for providing MKP with information on this.

Arrrggghhh... OBs are *still* closing birth canals routinely and keeping
birth canals closed when shoulders get stuck - but you already knew that.
Poor little Anthony! Some shoulder dystocias are no doubt unavoidable - but
to keep the birth canal closed when shoulders get stuck - well - that gets
me. It is so nice of you to publicly thank me for providing MKP with this
info - quite brave actually. Thanks.

My detractors, of course, have a good point - I have often been too long -
but not totally ineffective.

Again, thanks.

My great grandmother had twins. One died in childbirth and the other
only lived for a few hours. Tragically, my great grandmother lost her
husband a few months later. This was all in the 1920s. I am proud
and grateful that I knew my great grandmother for over 25 years before
she joined her twins and her husband.

Because I knew my great grandmother, I know about my great aunt and
uncle that I never met, but they live with me in my heart. I also
know about my great grandfather, who lives in my heart as well.

To all who have lost babies and children, many hugs and healing.
