Sometimes conception happens the first month of trying, sometimes it seems to drag on and on forever, sometimes a year. If you have regular periods, then take note of them. Mark on a calendar if need be. Circle the day on the calendar to mark the first day of your period. When you're done your period, put an X on that day, and draw a line through the days between your circle and X. Do that every month you have a period, and then see if you can time about 2 weeks before your next expected period. Fortunately, we've never had a problem with conception. I wasn't 'trying' for either of my sons - yet I was pg with DS2 when DS1 was about 4 months old. We tried one month for DD, and we also tried one month for this next DD. We've been lucky in that way, as I *know* there are people who try for months and months, even longer. Also, if TTC, try and see if you can do small little things that will help the sperm. Have sex often - like if possible, for a good, straight week, and as often as possible. If you can try every day in the morning and then again at night, even if you can sneak one in during the afternoon, do that. Also, what I read helps is if you encourage sperm to swim towards the egg, that helps. That means him on top of her. When finished, continue to lay on your back, use a pillow to prop your bum up a bit, and this is one thing I read that can help with encouraging sperm to an egg. Do not pee or bathe right after, as that tends to not encourage anything that will help. Other than that, I really don't know... Best of luck to you, and I'm sure there will be others who might have some useful tips or ideas for you! |

So you could go for activity roughly every 36 hrs over the time you think you are fertile. Though we got pregnant with our 2nd on a similar schedule to above ;-). Anne |

oh yes, you can try some natural remedies like evening primrose oil,
what you do is take 1000mg a day starting on the day you start your period and then the day you ovulate you should STOP taking the medication, you then can substitute it with Flaxseed Oil Soft Gel caps 1000mg from the day you stop taking the primrose oil all the way through positive or negative pg test....if negative then start the primrose again if positive you can continue with the flaxseed oil but mention it to your doctor. Also, taking a baby aspirin an also help, you can take one a day safely up to 28 weeks, but most say to stop after you get into the 2nd trimester. then if you really want something more simpler to take, go to www.fertilaid.com it is AWESOME... I had to do IVF to have my first baby, but then we were so broke and both unemployed we had no idea what we were going to do, we wanted to have a sibling for my DD, so I looked into the herb thing, I took Fertilaid and figured that i would do it for a full year and they also recommend you do it for a year as well anyway, so to my surprise, after week 11 of taking the fertilaid (I never stopped I stayed consistent with it) I was pregnant....IT IS AWESOME especially since I have a hormonal imbalance and need some sort of medication for it, Fertilaid helped straighten out my hormonal imbalance. I had tried 6 years before finally have our 1st DD and the herbs gave us in the first month of trying OUR 2nd DD. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to email me about it. REgards Harshada What I did was using the day of your period for day 1, I had sex on day 10, day 13, day 17, and day 20. The sperm stays inside for 3-4 days, so if you have sex every so often it should work. It may not work for everyone, but it worked for me two different times. Good luck, Andrea |
