Slow board. Lets see how everyone is doing!!

We are doing great. I've been posting since I nursed my first/Hunter.
Hunter is now 7yo and Luke is 5yo. They haven't nursed in years but I have
the twins now so I'm still around!

Ben and Brock are still nursing - yay! At their 6mo appt. Brock was 20lb
and Ben was 16lbs. IIRC Brock was 28 1/4" and Ben was 27 1/4" so both are
really long. Ben is in constant motion so I know why he is skinny He'll
be crawling soon. Brock is mellow. I doubt he'll be crawling anytime soon.
They have such different personality types. It is fun. Brock sleeps
through about 70% of the time but Ben is up 2-3 times a night. yawn They
are both enjoying their solids. I haven't had to give any bottles when I'm
not working. I was worried I would have to because they drink more then I
pump and they were getting fussy on the weekends. I think they had a growth
spurt and so have settled down a bit and they get more solids on the
weekends so that helps keep them content too.

How is everyone else?

Yay! They sound good. I can't imagine twins. What a challenge.

I just found out I'm pregnant! 5 weeks, I think.

Still nursing Alexander and planning on continuing unless it gets too
painful for me or he wants to stop.

I love my little explorer monkey man. Today he went down the slide by
himself for the first time. Put his arms over his head and slid down on his
belly, whee!

Glad to hear everything's going so well with the twins! That's awesome!

All's going well here. Nursed my first DD until just after she turned 3 and
am now pumping for my twin DDs, who just turned a month old. They're doing
great and are getting BIG! Like your boys, they have such different
personalities (and different physical characteristics). We've been having so
much fun with them.

Hi Nikki! Nice to hear from you.

Well C just weaned last month at 26 months. That's how
long E nursed too. Frankly, I hit my limit at about 22
months and start to gently wean them. So it was nice
and easy. C is still co-sleeping but we plan to move
her to her sister's room as soon as we get bunk beds.
Since I WOH, I pumped for both girls until they were
12 months. C actually took a bottle for a bit but
gave it up at 10 months. E hated the bottle. Funny kids.

So my nursing days are over, since we don't plan on
any more kids. My trusty PIS pump is headed back
to my sister, since she is due with her second in January.
It'll have pumped for 4 kids, not bad.

E is in kindergarten and doing great. C is in the throws of
the terrible twos. E wasn't bad at 2 and had terrible threes,
but C- yikes. She defines the terrible twos. Luckily she
is terrible cute and cracks us up daily. The girls bicker
alot, but also play together some, so that is nice.

Thanks for asking!

Mary W.

What a big boy! They will be about 2 years apart right? That is the space
between Hunter and Luke and I thought it worked really well for them.

Hope things go smoothly with the nursing for you. Will you tandem if
Alexander hangs in there for the long haul?

Holy Cats -- How did I miss the fact that you had twins!! Congrats :-) I'm
slightly twin obsessed. now ;-) It is hard to explain the wonderment of
twins. I checked out your site. Adorable babies - good job. Kudo's for
pumping. I found it really hard to pump with the twins. I don't think I
could do it all the time like that.

Gentle weaning - yay. I've not been so successful at the gentle part so I
hope it goes better this next time.

Yes that cute factor is definatley self-preservation, lol. I think the
bickering is entertaining for them, not so much for mom ;-)

Enjoy the next phase!

Oh, another baby!! Congratulations!! Are you finding out if it is a boy or a
girl before hand or waiting for the surprise? I'm impressed that you are
still nursing. Lucky Connor! I thought nursing while pregnant was the
pits.

That's the plan for right now, yes.
