I love my OB, really I do, but I wish he would lay off me about my weight gain.
I have never gained less than 50 lbs. in any pregnancy, and have gained as
much as 70, so it's not likely that's going to change now. Honestly, I don't
eat junk, I just get very, very hungry as soon as I get pregnant!

So he wants me to gain only two pounds this month. Fat chance! He said do I
really want a bigger baby this time? Well, I'm not trying for one but if it's
bigger, it's bigger! He said himself that I'm capable of delivering a bigger
one! Anyway, I said, what weight I am gaining right now has no impact on the
baby's size. He agreed, but said he is concerned about my setting up a pattern
of weight gain now that will be affecting the baby's growth later on when it
*does* matter. sigh

I walked two miles tonight. Perhaps that will help.

On the bright side, my BP is 110/70. We heard the heartbeat (130 bpm). I feel
great. And we're almost halfway there! And we set up an ultrasound
appointment for two weeks away, so then we will presumably find out who we are
expecting!

Thanks for listening to my rant.

{{Leslie}} I'm with you on the weight gain...on the positive side, your
blood pressure seems to be great.

Thanks! Yes, I was very happy about that myself, since I had preeclampsia last
time.
