New Child Support Laws in effect today in pennsylvania
"CLETUS" wrote in message ... New child support tables went into effect a few days ago. see them at www.pennglazier.com === Thank you for the link. It's nice to find that PA still remains one of the most (if not the most) father-friendly states. The new guidelines give greater consideration for shared custody (and expenses the NCP incurs when the children are with him), involuntary income reduction and increases the amount deducted for the noncustodial parent's own living needs. It has done this to ensure the NCP can provide for his own needs and to give him the incentive to continue paying support. Well, finally a voice of reason against "the monumental burdon" child support has become for dads. What it doesn't mention is the financial needs of subsequent children--hopefully, because that hasn't changed as PA did permit deviations in consideration of subsequent children. Still, under the new PA guidelines, the support we paid for my stepchildren would have been nearly $500. per month *less* in PA than it was in FL using the same incomes we used several years ago under the FL order. Our $1200. mo payment would have been just over $700. in PA. Note that this calculation was done without any overnights deducted for the NCP as we were too far apart for shared custody. It is also calculated without allowable deductions for daycare contributions, medical ins. premiums and out of pocket medical expenses. === |
