I am married with a 14 year old, and 16 year old. I know they will be
ok if i leave thier father.
But the problem is, i was always against divorce, and am against it. My
husband is bi polar, and i have ulcerative colitis, which stress
affects greatly. We have been fighting seriously for 4 days now, on
things that have been in our marriage for 16 years. I dont think its
gonna change. Living with
him is like a rollar coaster, the more we fight, the worse i hurt. I
have no money saved up to leave.
I cant support my children on what i make. how do i get help?

Debi, read the posts in response to your original request for help.
Talk to your family physician about the conditions in your life that
are contributing to your health problems. call your local
university/state school and ask about scholarships for older women,
credit for life experience, etc. Talk to your church/synagog/house of
worship and ask them for help. Talk to your family. Ask your friends.
Call your local state government and ask them for help with medication,
counseling, education, and housing. See if there your state has housing
vouchers, work training programs, etc.

If you've found this group on the Web, you can find tons more
information if you're willing to search. I know you're against divorce,
i think we all are/were. So start from there. Can you find family
counseling? Is your husband medicated for his illness?

Talk to your kids' school/s and make an appointment with the guidance
counselor to see how they are doing, and if there's anything they can
recommend.

Good luck,
Christina

hi,
i also have colitis and i understand how hard it is to try and balance
it while fighting with your partner. when me and warwick seperated i
was pregnant, had no savings and a low paying job. i moved in with
friends and saved enough for a bond in 6weeks. that was all i needed to
get me on my way. i am on the DPB, which is not ideal, but is all i kan
do with a one year child. i also look after other children when they
finish school which brings in an extra hundred a week. please please
dont stay and be unhappy. there are many people and societys that will
help you! your children will understand. my parents ae divorced and i
am happy that they didnt spend there lives in misery.
