Precious Baby Natural Birth

I have started an e-mail list for people who are planning a natural
(or even home) birth, but who for some reason are faced with "Precious
Baby Syndrome" by the medical profession and pressured to have a
medicalised pregnancy and delivery or even an elective c-section.
This can happen for whatever reason, fertility issues or previous
losses amongst others. Often there is no issue to recommend such a
high tech approach in the prenancy itself.

My intention is that it can be a forum for discussing these issues and
helping people balance their own wishes and natural caution. Although
other groups on natural and home birth exist, my experience is that
the issues are somewhat different when one is in these circumstances,
so I hope the list can be somewhere for parents to find support if
they need to fight for what they want, but also where people will
understand if they ultimately decide against a natural or home birth.
